| The Brownwood Municipal Police Association shall be: |

A non-sectarian and voluntary Association. |
| • |
Not affiliated with any union, unless voted on by members in good standing. |

Composed of Police Officers in good standing with the City of Brownwood, exclusively for the purpose of perpetuating the memory and spirit of Police Officers who have given their lives in the pursuit of duty. |

For promoting better wages, better benefits, and better working conditions. |

Instilling into the Members the spirit of cooperation and high regard of our calling. |

Asserting a wholesome influence on the education of the citizens of the City of Brownwood, especially with the purpose of respect for law and order and to cooperate with the courts and judges thereof, and with the branches of our Government, both State and National. |

Cooperating among Members a closer personnel acquaintance and for gathering, receiving, and disseminating such information as may be helpful to our Members in pursuit of our duties. |
